Men created equal?

A. You be the judge!

1. The Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life;

and man became a living soul. Gen.2:7

2. And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her to the man. Gen.2:22

3. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh:

she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Gen.2:23

4. From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth;

and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. Ac.17:26

5. That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him,

and find him, though he be not far from every one of us. Ac.17:27

6. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,

that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Jn.3:16

7. God wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 1Tim.2:4

B. There are these people!

1. Jesus said: The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him.

But woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had not been born. Matt.26:24

2. But these men blaspheme in matters they do not understand.  They are like brute beasts, creatures

of instinct, born only to be caught and destroyed, and like beasts they too will perish. 2Peter 2:12

3. Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young,

but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. 1Tim.4:12

4. It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists,

and some to be pastors and teachers. Eph.4:11

5. To prepare God's people for works of service, so that the church of Christ may be built up. Eph.4:12

6. Until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature,

attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Eph.4:13

7. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every

wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. Eph.4:14

C. Be sure not to be these people! Heb.3:15-17

1. As has just been said:

Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion. Heb.3:15

2. Who were they who heard and rebelled? Were they not all those Moses led out of Egypt? Heb.3:16

3. And with whom was he angry for forty years?

Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the desert? Heb.3:17

D. Blessed are they that wash their robes ! Rev.22:10-15

1. He said to me: Seal not up the words of the prophecy of this book; for the time is at hand. Rev.22:10

2. He that is unrighteous, let him do unrighteousness still: and he that is filthy, let him be made filthy still:

and he that is righteous, let him do righteousness still: and he that is holy, let him be made holy still. 22:11

3. Behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to render to each man according as his work is. 22:12

4. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. Rev.22:13

5. Blessed are they that wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life,

and may enter in by the gates into the city. Rev.22:14

6. Without are the dogs, and the sorcerers, and the fornicators, and the murderers, and the idolaters,

and every one that loves and makes a lie. Rev.22:15

E. Conclusion:  Be the transformed people! Ro.12:1-8

1. Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices,

holy and pleasing to God-- this is your spiritual act of worship. Ro.12:1

2. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-- his good, pleasing and perfect will. Ro.12:2

3. For by the grace given me I say to every one of you:

Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment,

in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you. Ro.12;3

4. Just as each of us has one body with many members,

and these members do not all have the same function. Ro.12:4

5. So in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. Ro.12:5

6. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us.  If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in

    proportion to his faith. Ro.12:6

7. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; Ro.12:7

8. if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully. Ro.12:8
